Mike Lloyd Studios
Privacy Policy
This page explains what happens to your information when you visit mikelloydstudios.com — plainly, and without the usual legal fog. The short version: this site is quiet. It doesn't run a stack of trackers. It runs one advertising tag, from Facebook, and that's all.
Effective October 6, 2026
What I collect
When you browse this site, the only thing recorded automatically is visit information: which pages you looked at, roughly how long you stayed, the type of device and browser you're using, and the general area those details suggest. Nothing personal is collected here that you didn't choose to hand over — your name, email, phone number and session details arrive only when you book a consultation or write to me.
The Facebook (Meta) Pixel
This site carries one advertising tag: the Meta Pixel, Facebook's own measurement script. It's what tells me whether an ad actually led to a booking, and it can show follow-up ads to people who have been here.
What it can tell me: that you viewed this site or a particular page, that you clicked a button such as "Book Your Consultation", and the device and browser details Facebook uses to match that visit to an account. It does not tell me your name, your email address, or anything you typed into a form.
Facebook may combine what it learns here with its own information under its own privacy policy, which is worth a read: facebook.com/about/privacy.
Who sees your information
Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for the ad measurement described above. Sprout Studio, the booking system that runs my consultation scheduling — what you enter there is handled under their terms. And the platform that hosts and serves this website. Nobody else, and your information is never sold.
No other trackers
There is no Google Analytics here, no other advertising networks, and no email harvesting. If that changes, this page is updated before a new tool goes live.
How long things are kept
Enquiry and booking details stay in my business records for as long as it takes to arrange your session, deliver your artwork, and keep reasonable records. The cookies Facebook sets in your browser follow Meta's own retention periods rather than mine, and you can clear them whenever you like.
Your choices
You don't have to accept being followed by an advertising tag. You can:
- Turn off follow-up ads in your Facebook ad preferences: facebook.com/ads/preferences
- Opt out of advertising cookies across companies at the Digital Advertising Alliance's page: optout.aboutads.info
- Block or clear cookies in your browser's privacy settings, or browse this site in a private window.
This site doesn't interrupt your visit with a consent pop-up — Washington and Oregon law doesn't require one for the kind of tracking described here. If you'd rather not be tracked, the controls above work, and I'll honour a request sent to me directly.
Children
This site is written for adults, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If how I handle information changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top. Nothing here is applied retroactively without telling you.
