There are a few things that you should not bring to a boudoir photo shoot:
- Insecurities: Boudoir photo shoots are meant to be a fun and empowering experience. It’s important to leave your insecurities at the door and focus on feeling confident and comfortable in your own skin. It may be really really really hard to do this, but we’re here to support you and help you achieve this. 🙂
- Negative energy: Boudoir photo shoots should be a positive and uplifting experience. Avoid bringing any negative energy or negative thoughts with you to the shoot. It can be really hard to not think about all the parts of your body you don’t feel great about. Now is the time to really focus on the parts that you love, and be open to working on your relationship with your body so you can start loving all of you!
- Wrinkly Clothes: Please iron or steam your clothes before bring them to the studio. We have a steam in case of emergencies, but packing your clothes properly will ensure that they look great in all of your photos.
- Distractions: Boudoir photo shoots require your full attention and focus. Please keep your phone on silent, and stored in your bag. I know you have 10,000 going on right now. Trust me, I get it. This is like a spa day though and it’s the time to disconnect from everything outside these doors and just focus on YOU!
- Uncomfortable clothing: It’s important to wear clothing that makes you feel comfortable and confident during your boudoir photo shoot. If it’s something you feel good in, or you want to feel good in it, bring it! Otherwise leave it at home.
Remember to communicate with your photographer beforehand about what to bring and what to expect during the shoot, as they will likely have specific guidelines and requests.
